Former Macon Policeman, Alva C. Rachels, 58, residence 652 Hemlock street. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 3 p.m. Monday. The Rev J. W. Ballard will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Alva was a detective for the Macon Police and retired to build cabinets for the Trading Post.
