*The second cousin connection: Solomon Strickland (1735-1818) married Amy Pace (1739-1815), and their children included Henry Strickland and Mollie Strickland. Henry Strickland (1766-1817) married Ruth Thompson (1763-1860) and had Noah; Mollie Strickland (1767-1815) married William Carter (1756-1815) and had Mary.

And so...Noah's parents were Solomon Strickland (1735-1818) and Amy Pace (1739-1815), Solomon's parents were Jacob Strickland (1705-1790) and LaMer Pitts (1716-1789); Amy's parents were Thomas Pace (1704-1764) and Amelia Boykin (1757-1841).
