Hazel Simpson Gibson
(February 21, 1929 - December 10, 2009)

Funeral service for Hazel Simpson Gibson will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 12, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Perry Webb officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, 2009 from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Gibson, 80, of Alexandria, La., died Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La. She was a native and former resident of Natchitoches, La. She was retired from Family Services for the State of Louisiana as a Social Worker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchitoches, La. She was life time 'Rose' for the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity at Northwestern State University. She was an avid bridge and tennis player. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Browne Simpson, Sr. and Gertrude Foster Simpson; two brothers, Jack Simpson and Arthur Browne Simpson She is survived by her husband William A. 'Bill' Gibson of Alexandria, La.; three sons, William A. 'Billy' Gibson, III and fiancée Elizabeth Welch of Woodworth, La., Arty Gibson of Alexandria, La., and Gary Gibson and wife Marilyn of Dallas, Tx.; three grandchildren, Andrea Foust and husband Eddie of Shreveport, La., Leslie Tuminello and husband Troy of Shreveport, La., and Rayne Gibson of Woodworth, La.; three great grandchildren, Brinley Foust, Gannon Foust, and Brooke Tuminello; one sister, Sara Jane Smith and husband L.A. Smith of Dallas, Tx.
