Elizabeth Redwine Fowler of Scottsboro, AL died Wednesday, October 14, 2009. She was a native of Coweta County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Word Redwine & Dawson Campbell Redwine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 58 years, James W. Fowler, Jr., and in 1971 by their beloved son, James W. Fowler, III, sisters, Sara Brown Perkins and Louadine Murphy, brothers, Robert Word Redwine, Jr., Lloyd Redwine, Earl M. Redwine, the Rev. Dr. Parks Redwine.

Mrs. Fowler lived in East Point, GA for 60 years and retired from the accounting department of the corporate office of Chick-Fil-A, Inc. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Peggy Fowler Weaver & her husband Frank W. Weaver, Luanne Fowler DeMore & her husband the Rev. Gary DeMore; granddaughters, Beth Weaver Miller & her husband David, Sara Cristiania Culpepper, Kelly Culpepper; grandsons, James W. Fowler, IV & his wife Paula, Steven C. Fowler, Frank W. Weaver, Jr. & his wife Amy, Mike Weaver & his wife Melissa; great-granddaughters, Emma Weaver, Anna Weaver, Abigail Weaver, Brittany Fowler; great-grandsons, Jacob Weaver, Alexander Weaver, Brenden Fowler, Matthew Miller, William Miller. Mrs. Fowler is also survived by brother-in-law, Hugh Murphy and sister-in-law Grace Redwine, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mckoon.com A graveside service will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Lewis Redwine Cemetery on Happy Valley Circle with Rev. Darwin Caldwell and Rev. Gary DeMore officiating. The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan on Friday from Noon until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd, Union City, GA 30291 or Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, 1050 Jefferson Avenue, East Point, GA 30344.
