Graveside services for Florence L. Calvert, 89, of Roswell, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at South Park Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Hale officiating. Florence passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009.

Florence was born Dec. 21, 1919, to Edward Dunavant and Ida Ellen Crenshaw in Pueblo, Colorado.

Florence is survived by two sons, Thomas Tipp and his wife, Ann, of Poway, Calif., Chester Calvert and his wife, Hala, of Roswell; three daughters, Elaine Jones and her husband, Micky, of Donalds, S.C., Polly Sykes and her husband, Charlie, of Roswell, Brenda Britt and her husband, Shane, of Dexter; one brother, Ted Dunavant and his wife, Arminta, of Hatfield, Ark., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sons, one daughter, two grandsons, four sisters, one brother, one brother-in-law and one stepson.

The honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
