John "Johnny" Mattingly, 93, of Leitchfield, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield. A retired farmer, he was a member of Holly Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Rebecca Miller Mattingly; and two sons, William Mattingly and Roy Mattingly. Survivors include two sons, Leon Mattingly and James Mattingly, both of Leitchfield; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Central Time Tuesday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield with the Rev. Chester Shartzer officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation begins after 11 a.m. Central Time Monday at the funeral home.
