Herman G. Ortlepp To Be Laid To Rest
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral home here and at 1:45 p.m. at the Potter Reformed church for Herman G. Ortlepp, 70, of Potter, who died Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at St. Elizabeth's hospital, Appleton. He was confined to the hospital one day, but had been in ill health for the past year. The Rev. T. E. Blaufuss will officiate at the services and burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ortlepp, a retired farmer who had been residing with his sister, Mrs. Amanda Koch, at potter, was born Nov. 16, 1875. He married Lydia Lerche Sept. 8, 1898, at Potter. She preceded him in death Aug 27, 1927. The deceased was a member of the Men's Brotherhood league of Potter Reformed church.
Survivors are two children, Mrs. Viola Aebischer of this city and Clarence Ortlepp, Potter; two grandchildren, Doris Aebischer, Milwaukee, and Clarence Ortlepp Jr., Potter; two brothers, Max of Rantoul, and Richard of Potter; five sisters, Mrs. Ed Hass and Mrs. William Schnuell, New Holstein; Mrs. Albert Hintz, and Mrs. Julius Krueger, Kiel, and Mrs. Koch. Three brothers and sister preceded him in death.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from this (Thursday) afternoon until time of services on Saturday.
