She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Amanda Silver, brothers, Albert, Roy , Gene, Wedell and Leon Silver; and a sister, Lucille Shackleford.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Lee Shields; daughters and son-in-law, Lynda Townsend and Delilah King, Suzette and Kenneth Bell.
