Zella is a daughter of Harlan and Hattie Oberholser. She married Sherman Emrich June 15, 1905 in Burdick, Morris County, Kansas. Zella was the cafeteria manager for Miltonvale Grade School from 1943-1951, as well as being a mother to fifteen children she supported her husband as a wife of a minister and farmer.
