MILFORD -- Evelyn G. Ellis died Tuesday, July 30, 1996, at Easton Hospital. She was 75.
Born in Bridgeton Township, Pa., she was a daughter of Arthur and Mary Leichliter Godown.
Mrs. Ellis was a clerk at the Milford post office for 30 years, retiring in 1981.
A Navy veteran of World War II, she was a member of Frenchtown American Legion Fidelity Post 113, WAVES National in Washington, D.C., and SS Taluga Survivors Association.
She was a member of Milford Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Arthur Ellis , died in 1987.
Surviving are her mother, of Lopatcong Township; two sons, David and Douglas Ellis , both of Holland Township; two brothers, Robert Godown of Easton and Richard Godown of Flemington, and four grandchildren.
Memorial services are set for today at 10 a.m. at W.E. Johnson Funeral Home in Holland Township.
