Marton "Marty" Vanaman, 76, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Howard Romaine officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Vanaman served in the CCC and was a member of American Veterans. He was a chef for Hilton Inn and Fifth Seasons Hotels and the Potter County Sheriff's Office. He ran Hamlet Bingo Hall from 1982 to 1996.
Survivors include four sons, Marty Vanaman of Amarillo, James Vanaman of Alaska, and Martin M. Vanaman and Terry Don Vanaman, both of Modesto, Calif.; four brothers, Mark Vanaman and Roger Vanaman, both of Wynne, Ark., Clayton Vanaman of Seagoville and Alan Vanaman of Arkansas; a sister, Flo Wheat of Dallas; a granddaughter, Brittany Vanaman of Amarillo; and numerous other grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice.
