Wilma Jean "Jeannie" McClelland 62, Atchison, died Sunday, July 21, 1996 at the Atchison Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Hambleton, pastor of the Weston Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushvill.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Weston Christian Church.
Mrs. McCelland worked as a secretary for the Snowden-Mitz Company for over 25 years and as payroll secretary for the Leavenworth Board of Education for several years before retiring in 1981.
She was born July 21, 1934, in Rushville, the daughter of Seth Carl and Anna Mae Morgan Dunn. She attended grade school in Rushville and graduated from Atchison High School.
Mrs. McClelland was a member of the Rushville Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and reading.
She married Delbert Dean "Red" McClelland on Aug. 3, 1964, in Oskaloosa. He survives at the couple's home. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Marguerite "Whitey" Allen and Ruby L. "Jackie" Allen, Weston and Sarah "Sallie" Turnbull, Rushville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
