Obituary: Towns-Saturday evening, January 14, 1928 at 6 o'clock at her residence ten miles on Smith Springs Road. Mrs. Mary A. Towns, widow of M.J. Towns, aged 75 years and 10 months. Mother of R.N., J.M, W.G., M.E. Miss Alene Towns, Mrs. W.L. Merritt, Mrs. T.F. Peal, Mrs. J.B. Rader and Mrs. Charles McClendon. 23 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Sister of Robert Sweeney, Miss Elizabeth Sweeney, Mrs. Margaret Bugg, Mrs. Jane Farris, Mrs. Evelyn Morris and Mrs. Lydia Baker of Memphis, Tenn. Funeral services from Una Baptist church tomorrow (Monday) 1 pm conducted by Rev. Jaggels assisted by Rev. W.M. Kuykendall. Honorary pallbearers, T.B. Cranor, Louis Ellis, Squire Lee Maxwell, T.J. Russell, Will Peal, Alex McClendon. Active pallbearers will be her sons and sons-in-law. Interment at Farris burial grounds seven and one-half miles on Couchville Pike.
