Elizabeth Davis b. c1835 S.C., she was baptized and joined the Nanafalia Baptist Church Marengo Co., Al. Aug. 1849, member #234. She was enumerated on the 1850 Marengo Co. census age 15, with her mother Sarah and step father Wiley Etheridge. The 1850 census enumerated Wiley Etheredge's stepchildren last name as Etheridge, they are recorded 1847, 1849 & 1854 in the church records as Davis.

Elizabeth Davis and William J. Elder were married April 3, 1861 in Marengo Co., Al. They were the parents of one daughter, Indiana Elizabeth Elder, who was known as Anna.

Their daughter;
Indiana Elizabeth Elder was born Feb. 1862. Indiana was enumerated on the 4 June 1880 age 18 in the home with her mother's sister Sarah and spouse Fred T. Ernest. She was enumerated as Fred's stepdaughter, but she was his wife Sarah's niece. Indiana went by the name Anna, she was named Indiana after her father's first wife who died, which was the custom of the times.
Anna E. Elder and W. W. Tew were united in marriage the 9 July 1880 in Marengo County, Alabama. The Tews had relocated to Sumter County Alabama where W. W. Tew died.
Anna E. Tew and John Coleman Ezell were married 1897 in Sumter County, Al. They were the parents of two sons, Earl Pratt Ezell and Claude Gilmore Ezell. Anna, her spouse J. C. Coleman and children are all interred in the Cokes Chapel Cemetery, Sumter County, Alabama.
