According to the data from the Rylander Library, San Saba County, Texas, Annie was instrumental in establishing the Texas Division United Daughters of the Confederacy 1902 in San Saba County, Tx. She was a charter member and served as an officer.

Annie M. Blakeney and Leonard Doughty were married about 1909, Annie was age 31 when they married, they lived in San Antonio, Texas and had one child, a son they named John F. Doughty, born about 1910 in Texas. Leonard Doughty was an Attorney.
