Funeral services for Mrs H T [Henry T] Wheaton, sister of J S Bowden, were held at Allardt Saturday. Mrs. Wheaton was 88 and had been married 66 years. She was the mother of 8, 4 boys and 4 girls. There are 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. There are 2 twin grandsons, not yet 20, both Sergeants in the Army, one stationed in Boston, the other in New Orleans.
Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church with burial in the Allardt cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 3 sons and 3 daughters: John N, Francis and Thornton; Mrs May Gentry, Mrs Robert Hansford and Mrs Ora Slaven.
