Ambress Thrasher, 86, of Campbell, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell. Born May 6, 1916, in Campbell, a son of the late Oliver and Rosella Chumley Thrasher, he was a retired carpenter and a Protestant. On May 9, 1934, in Campbell, he married Myra Irene Duncan who preceded him in death Nov. 25, 1994. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Darlene Thrasher, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Todd of Campbell, Loretta Cartee of Risco, Mo. and Glenda Armitage of Piggott, Ark.; two sons, Donald Thrasher of St. Francis, Ark. and Ambress Thrasher, Jr. of Arlington, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 36-great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Lloyd Cemetery at Holcomb, Mo., under direction of Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.
