Born in Hamilton, Ala., Mr. Lewis died at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis. He was a retired farmer and had lived in the Oak Ridge community for 41 years.
Services were from the Oak Ridge Methodist Church Wednesday, April 15, conducted by Rev. Charles Miller.
Graveside services were conducted by Steele Lodge No. 634 AF & AM, with burial at Number Eight Cemetery, John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Lewis leaves his wife, Mrs. Sallie Mae Lewis of Oak Ridge; two sons, Coy Lewis of Braggadocio and Roy Lewis of Marston; a brother, Rufus Lewis of Cooter; three sisters, Doshia Clifton, Steele; Lula Belk, Detroit, Ala.; Ethel Stanford, Wardell, Mo.; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
