Wesley E. Jones, 75, Garden Lakes, died Tuesday morning at a local hospital.

A native of Pittsfield, Mass., Mr. Jones was born Jan. 23, 1915, the son of Walter E. Jones, Sr. and Amiee Heidel Jones. Mr. Jones retired Jan. 31, 1980 from the General Electric Co. as a specialist in analysis and control after 43 years of continuous service. In 1941, he enlisted in the U. S. Army Infantry Division and saw 5 years of service during WWII, where he was awarded a Battlefield 2nd Lieutenant's Commission after action in the European Theater. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife the former Pauline Wilde, to whom he was married Sept. 5, 1943, one son, Wesley E. (Evelyn) Jones, Tifton, one daughter, Nancy Pauline Jones, Rome, one sister, Mrs. Ruth Chittenden, Waltham, Mass, one brother, Walter E. Jones, Pittsfield, Mass; and two grandchildren, Wayne and Keith Jones of Tifton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Armon Dula, Leonard Walters, Leslie Gordon, Jack Davis, Frank Norment and Raymond Davenport.

The family will receive friends at Daniel's Funeral Home today from 7 until 9 p. m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the building fund at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
