Vera May (Moore) Balentine, 86, of Fifty Six entered into rest on November 6, 2009.

Vera was born May 17, 1923 to Bill and Dora (Clark) Moore in Onia, Arkansas.

She was saved July 29, 1942 at Fairview Church. She belonged to Big Springs Baptist Church since 1973 but also attended Timbo Baptist Church to hear her nephew, Brother Junior Barham, preach.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years—Silas Balentine, one son, Paul D. Balentine; five grandchildren--Paulette Nichols, Cheri Prince, Dianna Musgrave, John Balentine and Katie Matteson; thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dora (Clark) Moore and five sisters, Ora Stewart, Ola Phillips, Venita Hardin, Era Moore and Lois Moore.

Burial was in Pordue Cemetery, Onia, Ark.

Pallbearers were Hans Musgrave, Brody Prince, Bobby Barham, Joe Gatti, Bruce Smith and Sonny Balentine.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Brown, Bill Jason and Herb Brown.
