A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Rev. J.C. Craig and Martha Marie Dotson Craig.
He is survived by wife, Fannie Craig; son, Larry Craig; daughters, Linda Hamilton and husband, Gary, Lisa Arrowood and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Adam, Leah, Andy, Cameron, and Logan; brothers, David, Paul, and Mike Craig; sisters, Ruby Aiken, Blanche Barnes, Doris Sherbert and Nancy Covil; step sons, David, Darrin, Danny and Troy Carlisle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Donnie, Ronnie and Ernie Craig; brother, Morris Craig; and sister, Margie Turner.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church in West Asheville. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
