MOSE ELLIS ALLEN, COLORADO CITY
COLORADO CITY ~~ Mose Ellis Allen, 69, retired cattle buyer and former constable, died Friday afternoon in Root Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Prentice Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dunn Cemetery under direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born April 30, 1898, in Scurry County but had lived in Mitchell County for many years. He married Lillie Brown March 17, 1920, in Colorado City. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Murray Jones of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. May Hairston of Snyder, Mrs. H. V. Richards of Abilene and Mrs. Floyd Shepherd of Colorado City; and three grandchildren.
