Elizabeth was the oldest child of Robert and Lourana (Osborne) Bradley. She married Amos R. Ash 3 April 1845 in Greene County, Illinois. They had six children: Lourana, wife of Charles E. Greenwalt; Jesse Reid, who married Sarah Ann Gilmore, and after her death Rosalina J. Sweat; Mary Ann, wife of William Moses Hull; Jacob, who first married Laura A. Pennell and after she died Julia Rosetta Wilcox; James; and Bartholomew, husband of Kate M. Windsor and after she died Margaret Frances Allen.
