(Shoemaker) Balsinger, who was a year younger. Thomas had diptheria as a child. Later in life he worked for the H. J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh. Thomas a golfer for fifty years got a hole-in-one on the 165 yard, No. 2 hole at the Ebensburg Golf Club in 1972. There is a gravestone for a Carole Balsinger (1940-1951) who was of an age that might be their daughter, but that is speculation.
