Edith was the third of six children born to Manley Wilson Sr. and Oma Lee (Waugh) Bass. She married Robert Leon Whitlock in 1946 and they had two children: Tony Leon and Edith Marlene.

STATESVILLE -- Edith Whitlock, 76, died November 18, 2002. Funeral is 3 PM Thursday at Cochran Street Baptist Church. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation 7-9 PM tonight at Nicholson Funeral Home.
