Mrs. Ethel Mae Glenn, 74, a resident of Corpus Christi for 36 years died in a local hospital today.
Mrs. Glenn was born in Tennessee July 10, 1880. With her husband and children she came to Corpus Christi and was residing on North Beach when the hurricane destroyed that section of the city in September 1919.
The family moved to Mississippi, but returned in December of 1919 and bought a home at 1007 Twelfth where Mrs. Glenn resided at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Morgan Avenue Baptist Church and for many years took an active part in church work.
Surviving are three sons, George W. Glenn, Jr. of Denver; Woodrow W. Glenn, a bookkeeper for The Caller-Times, and Horace Lee, both of Corpus Christi; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Blaisdell, Mrs. J. J. Jackson, Mrs. Inez Teutsch, and Mrs. Earl Bennett, all of Corpus Christi, and Mrs. W. R. Murray, Jr., of Asheville, N. C., a niece, Mrs. Freeman A. Martin, Corpus Christi; 23 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
