Services Monday

William Littleton, 86, of 239, Buckley Rd., was dead on arrival at King's Daughters Hospital at 2 a.m. Saturday.

He was born September 20, 1884, in Rowan County, a son of the late Milton and Angeline Rose Littleton.

He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Fourth Street Mission Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Owens Littleton, in 1961.

Surviving are three sons, William H. Littleton of Rock Camp, O., and Ollie and Charles Littleton of Ashland, five daughters, Mrs. Corine Gambill of Ashland, Mrs. Bertha Mayberry and Mrs. Pauline Chambers, both of Mansfield, O., Mrs. Pansy Mullins of Hitchins, and Mrs Goldie Mullins of Rush, a sister, Mrs Vica Owens of Ashland, 37 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fourth Street Mission Church. Burial will be in the Coalton Cemetery near Princess.

The body will be taken from the Lazear Funeral Home to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Corine Gambill of 3033 Carter Ave., where friends may call.
