C. C. GORE.
C. C. Gore died Wednesday at the home of his son, Charles F. GORE, in Sayre, after a long illness. Mr. GORE was born at Sheshequin, this county July 20, 1825, and lived there nearly all his life. When his wife died in 1888 he went to Sayre where he had a shoe shop and worked at the trade until poor health compelled him to abandon it. He joined Valley Lodge, I.O.O.F., No. 446, at Sheshequin 53 years ago last May, being one of the oldest Odd Fellows, in Bradford county, and the Odd Fellows will have charge of the funeral service. There will be a prayer service at the house Friday at 12:40 p.m. after which the body will be taken to Sheshequin, where the services will be held in the Universalist church at 2:30 p.m. The service will be conducted by Rev. W. A. Kelly of the Universalist church of Athens. Mr. GORE is survived by two sons, Charles of Sayre, and Abraham of Bernice. "Towanda Daily Review", Aug. 27, 1908.
