Services for Ruby Helen Allen Tryals, of Mendenhall, are 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, Natchez Drive location, with burial in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation was Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Tryals, 69, died May 10, 2007, at her residence. She was born in Franklin County on Dec. 26, 1937, to Ephriam Augusta Allen and Eunice Alverna Cupit Allen.

She was a homemaker. She had worked for Southern Life and Insurance Co., and Service Merchandise. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Marie Minton.

Survivors are her son, James Edward Chisholm, of Beaumont, Texas; her daughters, Janice Elaine Buckley, of Baton Rouge, La., Juanica Kay Thode, of Monroe, La., and Helen Christine Rusk, of Brookfield, Ohio; her brother, Willard Mohon, of Vidalia, La., her sisters, Eloise Allen, of Brookhaven, Beulah Barber, of Sontag, Anne Armstrong, of Bossier City, La., Audrey Thornton and Christine Beimbauer, both of Brookhaven, Maricell Dubose, of South Carolina, and Ada Anders, of Brandon; and 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
