Calvin Overton Curington was the oldest son of former Navarro County Sheriff and District Attorney John Richard Curington and Sarah Elizabeth Harris Curington and was one of seven children.
C.O. "Cap" Curington married Annie Irene Williams January 1, 1921 in Corsicana and to them were born four children. C.O. followed his father into county office, serving as county sheriff from November 8, 1938 - November 1946. He later opened a dry cleaning business in downtown Corsicana, Curington Cleaners, still operated by his descendants.
I attended his funeral when I was young and remember the Corsicana police force attending in their dress uniforms and pall bearing his coffin.
