MARTINEZ, Andres Q.
Age 80, passed away October 20, 2009, in Lancaster, California. He was born March 15, 1929, in Cuidad, Chihuahua, Mexico and was a long time resident of Rosamond. Andres was a manager of Boron Landfill for many years until retirement in 1989. He was very proud of becoming a U.S. citizen in 1996. Andres was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Consuelo Martinez on March 18, 2009, and is survived by one son, John Martinez of Palmdale, one daughter, Rosana Budd and her husband Jerry of Lancaster, one sister, Julieta Villagran of El Paso, Texas, his nephew who was like a son, Ruben Gonzalez of Lancaster, and numerous other nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., with chapel services starting at 4 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster Chapel. Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery at a later date. www.homlancaster.com
