Dorsey was a son of James B. Bright and Emaline Caledonia Woosley. He married Amma Mae Cornelius February 21, 1903 in Greer County OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Headrick Methodist church for D. W. Bright, 65, who died Friday morning. He had been in ill health for the past four years. Rev. J. M. Jones will be in charge of the services. Burial will be directed by the Tims-Peterson funeral Home.

Bright, a native of Arkansas, had been a resident of the Headrick community since 1903. He was a member of the Headrick school board for 20 years and served as a director of the Headrick gins for many years. He farmed until his health failed four years ago.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Don C. Estes Jr., and Miss Davilla Bright of Headrick, Mrs. Walter Bolvers of Union City, Okla., and Miss Gertrude Bright of Sentinel; a sister, Mrs. R. O. Harding of Bowie, Texas, and four brothers, A.P. Bright and F. F. Bright of California, John Bright of San Angelo, Texas and Sam Bright of Cherokee, Okla.
