Here's what I think the marker says.
Line 1 - "Catherine"
Line 2 - German for "wife of"? The first part looks like "Frau".
Line 3 - "Leonard Wise" (maybe with Leonard spelled differently, like Leonhard?)
Line 4 - German for "died"?
Line 5 - The death date, "(month) 17, 1872". I assume the month is in German, and don't know what it is for sure, but I think it's March.
Line 6 - German for "aged"?
Line 7 - "55 yrs, 7 m, 9 d"
The Wolf/Cripe genealogy lists Catherine (Eyman) Wise's birth date as 1818, and her death date as about 1872. It says she died in Carroll Co., but doesn't say where she was buried. Assuming this marker is hers, and that the death month is March, based on her age at death her birth date would actually be 8 Aug 1816, not 1818. A birth date of 8 Aug 1816 is consistent with her age as listed in the censuses of 1850 (34, enumerated on 9 Aug 1850), 1860 (43 on 31 Jul 1860), and 1870 (53 on 23 Jul 1870).
