New York Post handicapper. Mrs. Hamburger was a former real estate agent who found a new career as a New York Post handicapper. "Gamblin Rose" was a veteran horse player. She saw every Preakness from 1915 through 1988. She became the youngest graduate of Hunter College at 19. In 1938 she was the first woman to be licened as a real estate agent in Maryland. For her 102nd birthday, she was honored at the Aqueduct with her own race, Happy 102nd Rose. Her fame even led to a appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Her last race selection for the Post, Capote Bell, won a race at Saratoga.
