Elmer Goffrey Smith, 84. of Rt. 1, Lawsonville, N.C. died May 13, 1994, Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Rumley Smith. He was born in Stokes County to Will Thomas and Martha Nelson Smith. He was a retired farmer and auto mechanic. He is survived by one son, Elmer G. Smith, Jr. of the home, one sister. Doris S. Hill, of Ellebe, two grand children. Funeral service were held Sunday at Burroughs Funeral home Chapel. Burial was in Smith Family Cemetary. The Rev. Randy Roberson officiated.
