Buckley Howard M., 72, of Saint Petersburg, died Wednesday (June 11 1997) at Columbia St. Petersburg Medical Center (St. Pete General). He came here in 1956 from his native Bath, N.Y.
He retired after 31 years as a nursing assistant for the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of VFW post 1470, Bath.
He was a Protestant and a sportsman. survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara J.; two sons, Marvin, Lingle Wyoming and Randy, Bradford New York; Two daughters, Nancy Ferguson, Bath New York (now living in St. Petersburg) and Debbie Tillotson (now deceased), Saint Petersburg (was living in Brooksville); two sisters, Cynthia Branning of Orange City and Louise Hastings, of South Carolina; Two brothers, James (now deceased), Kanona New York and Ronald (now deceased), Massachusetts; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
