Margaret E. Caudill, 86, formerly of Bonaparte, died Saturday, December 17, 1977 at 2:20 a.m. in the Park Manor Care Center at Burlington following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 14, 1891 at Bonaparte, the daughter of William and Martha Russell Fletcher.
Her marriage to Charles Caudill took place at Bonaparte on August 24, 1919. He preceded her in death.
A retired school teacher, she was a resident of the Bonaparte area most of her life.
She was a member of the Bonaparte Baptist Church, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Senior Citizens of Mount Pleasant.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Jewll Wilson of Burlington, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral service was held Monday, December 19, 1977 at 1:30 p.m. in the Bonaparte Baptist Church. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home was in charge.
