Services for Mrs. Fred Bellefeuille, 66, of 706 East State St., who died Tuesday (March 22, 1949)at the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital, will be held at the Persel Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday (March 24, 1949) Rev Clayton Becker will be in charge and burial in the Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs Bellefeuille was born Nellie Ardell Gradner, July 15, 1882, in Marshall County and lived in the county and Marshalltown her entire life. Her fathers' last name was George Gardner and mother Addie (Canfield) Essen.
She lived in the south part of the county until her marriage to Alfred N. Bellefeuille March 26, 1902. They moved to Marshalltown and had lived there since.
Survivors include the widower, two daughters, Mrs K. J. Olsen and Mrs Frank Ahl, both of Marshalltown, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Nine brothers and sisters also survive, Claude, Cresco, Henry, Jake, Bert, and Clark, all of Marshalltown and John of Iowa Falls.; Mrs William Wolken, and Mrs George Tanyer, Marshalltown, and Mrs Cliff Adams, Kansas City Mo.
Mrs Bellefeuille was a member of the Grace Evangelical-U-B church.
Pallbearers were Henry Essen, Jake Essen, George Tanyer, , Lee Barrows, Corwin Williams, Wallace Brindle and flower bearers were Mrs Robert Olsen, Mrs Walter Brindle, Mrs Charles Rohde and Mrs. Harold Millerke (Obit from family member)
