Lowell F. Heap, 75, of Dewey died at his home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009.
He was born near Dewey, Il. to Elza and Marie Ark Heap. He married Melvina Peters on Aug. 4, 1957. She survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Gene (Lisa) Heap of Paxton and Douglas Heap of Champaign; three grandchildren, Mitchell of Dewey, Caitlin of Villa Grove and Lauren of Paxton; one brother, Leland (June) Heap of Dewey and one sister, Delilah (Red) Carlos of Eagle River, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Elmer, Virgil and Vernon.
He served in the U.S. Army.
