Lucy "Ms. D." Beason Daniels, 77, of Bowling Green died Sept. 29, 2009, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. She retired from Western Kentucky University after 32 years of service. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, where she was a church clerk, president of the Missionary, a member of Willing Workers Choir, Mass Choir and the Finance Committee and a Sunday school teacher. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was a daughter of the late Harry Beason and Alpha Omega Beason and the wife of the late Donald L. Daniels Sr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Anthony; and a brother, Jimmy Beason. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Seventh Street Baptist Church, with burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Burnam & Son Mortuary and begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
