Nancy Isabelle Wolf was a sister to my grandmother, Mary Arkansas Wolf. I never met either lady, but my Aunt, Elizabeth Osborne Vickrey, talked about them so that it seemed that I knew them. The most memorable story that I remember is that my grandmother, Mary Arkansas Wolf Osborne, went from eastern Oklahoma to Hot Springs, AR where the baby sister, Emma Maude Wolf Mowery, lived. Emma was a seamstress and she made them a new suit and new hat each and from there they got on the train and went to Kansas City to visit Nancy Isabelle Wollf Halrgrave.
In 1978, I met Jessie Belle Hargrave Green, a daughter of Nancy's and she called her parents the best parents in the world. She talked of them riding double on the horse and going to visit Nancy's brother, John Pierce Wolf.
Nancy and John Hensely Hargrave had children besides Jessie Belle and Frankie Lou that I did fina burial sites for. There was a daughter, Fannie Cannie Harvrave, who married the Rodeo Star Roy Bacon but I cannot locate a burial site for her. There was a son, Elbridge Lee Hargrave, b. 29 Dec 1890 in Mt. Home, d. 18 Nov 1917. He m. Mary Meyer and had two children. One son, Elmo, was a municipal judge in Kansas City, Mo. Elmo married Gwen Soxman and had two sons himself. The second son was Freddie and he died in 1923. Then there was a unnamed infant.
