Michigan, USA
Death: Apr. 8, 1961

Charles Ferdinand Breimayer, the fifth known child of Ferdinand and Agata Bauer Breimayer, was born in Freedom Twp, Washtenaw Cty, Michigan, in 1867 - see the family history in their Findagrave memorials for a listing of her siblings and relatives.

His baptismal record from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manchester, Michigan, lists Josephine Mahlenbrei (interred in Lansing, MI) as his godmother and Joseph Bauer, his uncle as godfather. His father Ferdinand Breimayer was best man at the 1854 wedding of Josephine Mahlenbrei and Stephen Reck (Rek) in Buffalo, NY, that took place shortly after they and Agata Bauer emigrated from Germany.

The Breimayer family resided in Freedom Twp, Washtenaw Cty, from 1859 to some time before October, 1877, when the farmstead at 3321 Hawley Hwy was purchased and they moved there.

According to Michigan Marriages 1822-1995 (Source Film No. 2342664), Charles married Bertha Margaret Shindorf (daughter of George Shindorf and Magdalena Lillian "Libba" Schiltz), b.25 FEB 1906, d. 19 FEB 1985, on June 23, 1903 (her obituary states marriage on June 19, 1903) and raised five children on their Ionia Cty farm, including:

Andrew G., b. 1904, d. 1994, married Esther L. Ulrich (b. 25 FEB 1906, d. 27 JAN 1994) in 1932, farmed and raised five children at 6684 Jacoby Road, one daughter Nancy M. Breimayer Sherrick , b. 17 APR 1935, d. 24 MAR 2007, interred in St. Mary's Miriam Catholic Church Cemetery;

Kathryn (Sarah Catherine) b. 22 JUL 1907, d. 21 OCT 2003, married Frank (Francis) E. Robach b. 2 SEP 1900, d. 1998, of a large Robach family residing in Wright, Ottawa Cty, MI on 28 AUG 1929 (from the marriage record from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Belding, MI and her obituary) and lived in Grand Rapids, MI, interred in Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI, one deceased son Marvin b. 10 NOV 1933 and two living sons;

Eva Elizabeth, b. 12 DEC 1910, d. 23 DEC 1910, interred in St. Mary's Miriam Catholic Church Cemetery;

Lewis (Pat) Charles, b. 14 NOV 1911, d. 21 JUN 1991, married Lois Mary Sage, b. 6 JAN 1916, d. 15 JUN 1991, on 6 JAN 1939 and raised four children in Belding, MI and interred in St. Mary's Miriam Catholic Church Cemetery with one infant child JoAnn, d. 1 APR 1944; and

Eileen, b. 15 NOV 1914, d. 27 JAN 2003, married James Laux (b. 30 JUN 1912, d. 19 APR 1982), raised five children and both interred in St. Mary's Miriam Catholic Church Cemetery.

The obituaries for Charles and Bertha indicate they were buried in this cemetery. However, there is an apparently erroneous entry for Bertha in the register for the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery in Belding.
