From Holland St. John - "Julius was born and raised in Conconully and attended school there. He married Edith Clifford on December 4, 1926, just a few months after his older brother Cecil had married. They had two sons: Joseph Howard and Renald Ray. As an adult, Ren preferred to be called Charles. The family lived for many years on the west fork of Salmon Creek, just a few miles out of Conconully. Both Joe and Ren lived with the Lewis St. John family during their high school years and graduated from Okanogan High School. Julius and Edith moved to Okanogan in the 1940s. Julius died in 1952 and shortly afterwards, Edith moved to Seattle."
