Marion Leila (Coe) Gibbons was the daughter of Edwin Jason Coe and Etta Luella (Gibbons) Coe. She was married to Harold Watson Gibbons by Albert H. Ball, Clergyman, Westfield, Massachusetts. They had three children together, one of whom died young. She participated in local church activities and was a leader in 4-H. She earned a diamond pin from her 4-H activities. She emphasized the importance of taking family photographs. She braided rugs and knit sweaters and even tried her hand at caning chair seats. She died at her home in Westfield, Massachusetts. Although her death certificate gave her official date of death as January 9, 1974, her gravestone indicated that she died the day before. It was important to note that the Gibbons line she married into was not recognized as the same line that led back to the Mayflower. She was an eleventh generation descendant of Mayflower passenger Richard Warren through her mother.
