Logan York, 69, of Leesville, La., a retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class, and Vietnam War veteran, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2009, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Leesville, La.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 9, in Elm Grove Cemetery, under direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland. Visitation is from noon until 1:30 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home.

Mr. York is survived by four children, Jarell York Sr. of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Garell York Sr. of Cypremort Point, Louisiana, Lisa York of Springfield, Missouri, and Kristie York of Kaplan, Louisiana; three step-children, Regina Trahan of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Ozan Gaspard and Tiffany Gaspard both of Kaplan, Louisiana; three sisters, Eva Becker, Verba LePage and Betty Winfrey (Clyde), all of Richland, Missouri; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
