Edward, 93, Celina, died at 4:10 a.m., at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was a son to John and Susan (Muller) Kriegel. On june 14, 1947, he marrried his first wife, Gertrude Gast, who preceded him in death. On Oct 31, 1969, he married Mary (Muhlenkamp) Wagner, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John (Betty), Troy, MI, Charles (Linda), West Carrollton, and William (Bea), Celina; one daughter, Charlene (Greg Carttar) Harner, Branson, MO; nine grandchildren, eighteen stepgrandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ralph and Robert; eight sisters, Ruby Weiman, Minnie Schwieterman, Leona Davidson, Edna Edmiston, Esther Glossett, Mildred Rice, Mary Heyne and Jeanette Martin; and a grandchild.
He had worked at the Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina, retired from the Celina Post Office where he was a letter carrier and clerk, and worked at the State Store in Celina. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, where he was a member of the church choir. He also served as Eucharistic Minister, ministered the homebound of the church and was a member and president of the church's Holy Name Society. He was a 1937 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the 91st Bombardment Group at Basingborn Air Base in England. He also was a member of the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, the Celina American Legion Post 210, and was a member and Grand Knight of Celina Knights of Columbus Council 1800.
Funeral Mass is at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating.
