Birth: May 2, 1842
Orange County
Indiana, USA
Death: Oct. 11, 1923
Bartlesville
Washington County

From the Bartlesville newspaper (undated):

"Mrs. Elizabeth Padgett, 81, died at 1:30 O'Clock at the home of her son in West Bartlesville. The body will lie in state at the McCullester Chapel until Friday AM when it will be taken to Fairfax for burial. Services will be at the First Methodist Church, Fairfax."

According to the Civil War pension application of Elizabeth, John and she were married at Paoli, Orange County, IN, by Rev. Aaron Speer, a Baptist minister. The 1860 census of Crawford County shows that Elizabeth was born in Orange County, Indiana. Her death certificate, issued in Oklahoma, states she was born on 2 May, 1842, and that her mother and father's names were Thomas Tate, and Sarah Elliott.
