Nannie E. CORBIN Myerly Mumper, Age 90.

Daughter of David G. Corbin and Rachel McCord.

She was the second wife of Noah Abraham MUMPER (1850-1917), to whom she was married on March 18, 1897.

Funeral Friday for Granville Mother; Was S.S. Teacher 50 Years


Mrs. Nannie E. Mumper, 90, died at her home in Granville on Tuesday evening at 9:50 o'clock of the infirmities of her advanced age. Mrs. Mumper was born in Huntingdon County on June 7, 1858, a daughter of the late David G. and Rachel McCord Corbin.

Mrs. Mumper was twice married. Her first husband was Adam Benjamin Myerly, to whom she was wed on December 23, 1880. He died in 1892. Her second husband was Noah H. Mumper, to whom she was married on March 18, 1897. Mr. Mumper preceded her in death in 1917.

Children surviving these marriages are:
Evelyn Myerly (Mrs. Harry Grassmyer, 317 Logan Street.
Charles Leslie Myerly, 15 West Walter Street.
Grace B. Myerly Owens, of Altoona.
Elsie M. Bender, of Harrisburg, and
Step-son, Frank A. Mumper, of Harrisburg.

A son, David B. Myerly, and four step-children preceded Mrs. Mumper in death.

Also surviving are a brother, Charles G. Corbin, of Granville; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche E. Brindle of Granville, Mrs. Mary M. Owen, 25 West Third Street, aand Mrs. Belle Haines of Altoona; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Granville Methodist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.

Mrs Mumper was the eldest of a family of seven children. She was the first person ever to sell home-baked bread at the curb market in Lewiston; bringing the delicacy here in a two-horse covered wagon. She enjoyed the commendable record of having been a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Granville Methodist Church on Friday at 3:15 P.M. by Rev. Frank S. Crawford, assisted by Rev. Joseph F. MacMullen. Burial will be made in the Mount Rock Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Barchus Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 9 P.M. and at the church on Friday from 1:30 P.M. until time of services.
