He was born at Malden, August 20, 1920, the son of Lawrence and Louella Riley Riney, and spent his entire life in the Southeast Missouri area except for three years in the service during World War II. He was employed by Little Prairie Road District and St. Francis Levee District until forced to retire because of ill health.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Virginia Riney, two daughters Laura and Konda Fay Riney, and two sons, Clyde C. and Tommy Riney, all of Caruthersville; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Bray of Caruthersville and Mrs. Emma Chance of Bloomfield, Mo., and five grandchildren.
