Funeral services for Beatrice L. Berry of Oklahoma City, formerly of Geary and El Reno, were held Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Preston Clegg, pastor of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Interment was in the Geary Cemetery.
Mrs. Berry died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at St. Ann's Home in Oklahoma City. She was born April 25, 1910, in Gann, Ark. She had worked for First Baptist Church in the church nursery and was a homemaker. Mrs. Berry was a member of First Baptist Church and the Pink Ladies of the Parkview Auxiliary, Senior Citizens, and had volunteered for El Reno Mobile Wheels. She loved quilting and canning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Leland and Myra Ethel (Heath) Andrews; her husband, George Dewey Berry; five brothers, Jack, R.V., Doyle, Lee and Odys Andrews; and two sisters, Eunice Miller and Juanita Baxter.
Survivors include her son, Dewey Glen Berry and wife, Lou of Oklahoma City; sisters, Sybil Slavin of Oklahoma City and Marie Parker of Charleston, W.Va.; two grandsons, Keith Allen Berry and Kevin Lee Berry, both of Edmond; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Madelyn, Conner and Brooke Berry, all of Edmond; and numerous other relatives and friends.
